1.   All troupes were welcomed to meeting.

 

2. Steve’s review

 

Although the competitions were a bit more stressful with the extra sections, it has

been a good season. Well done to all the troupes who held their first competition.

 

3. Military Freestyle

Has been changed to Freestyle Marching. This means that there is no baton twirling

and just marching in this routine.

 

4. Flag

was voted in to stay but just inform judges that comments like, try using 2 flags and

big silks is not necessary.

 

5. Tiny Tots                 

 

To be included in scoring.

 

6. No overall Trophy.

 

7. Overall score sheets,

 

voted to stay.

 

8. Juvenile

section to stay.

 

9. All age groups

 

to stay the same as last year.

 

10. Medals

 

for Drums & Mascot 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each section No Overall Trophies.

 

11. Tiny Tots

To be divided into two sections, pom pom and separate baton.

Max time allowed = 4 mins.

 

12. Score sheets

 

artistic twirls and variety twirls are to be taking off the score sheets for baton,

flag and combination. They are to be replaced with a blank right and left hand

section for judges to count how many twirls they do in each section.

 

13.  Freestyle

 

score sheets to be changed as there is no more twirling.

 

14.   Troupe leader meeting

 

to be held just for 5mins sometime in morning when all troupes are present.

 

15.  Music

 

please could all music be recorded as one complete piece without someone

having to keep pausing it.

 

16.  Timing

 

all timing to stay the same, 8 mins for seniors and juniors, 6 mins for Juvenile and

4 mins for tiny tots. Combination = 10 mins.

 

17.  Code of conduct

 

Michelle to sort one out and send to troupes to ok it.

 

18.  Music failure

 

if music fails you are allowed to use your troupes c.d. No coaching from the side,

e.g. telling them left arm up, right arm up etc but clapping or singing is ok. 10 points

deducted if coaching takes place. This does not include tiny Tots.

 

 

19.  No inappropriate dance moves or swearing in the music please.

 

20.  Mace size  

 

5 points deducted from drum overall score if mace is too small. This does not

include Tiny’s.

 

21.  Timing

 

1 point deducted for every 10 seconds that the music goes over.

 

22.  All agreed

 

that competitions would be held roughly around the same time as last year.
