2. Steve passed on all the apologies for absences
3. a. Number for inspection It was decided that there should be 8 plus 2 Drums Majors for inspection and if a troupe wanted to put more out they could. If how ever a troupe does not have 8 plus 2 drums (Seniors & Juniors) they were to turn out as many as they could. b. Section Ages Tiny Tots would be School year 4 or under ( 8 to 9 years of age or under ) Juniors would be School year 9 or under ( 13 to 14 years of age or under ) c. Routine Times Combination would be 15 minutes from the first person on the arena to the last one off. ( This includes setting up and clear the arena ) All other Routines would be a maximum of 10 minutes from the first person on the arena to the last one off. d. Averaging scores It was decided not to average final scores for overall winner. It will be a addition of all scores received. e. Troupe to follow Mace This was not agreed and would be discuss further and another meeting. This rule was abolished as it was felt that not all troupes were able to hold a competition. g. Proof of age This rule was abolished as it was felt that it would be to difficult to police. Steve said that a troupe who broke the rules would be cheating children ! He was sure that no one wanted to get a few extra points and cheat children by putting older majorettes in to the sections. It was agreed that at least 50% of each section could dance up into an older section if a troupe wanted to.
4. a. Pee Wee Section (5 and Under) It was decided there will be no Pee Wee section at the moment as we have enough sections to deal with. b. Chairman The host troupe would act as chairman each meeting. c. Postage Fee There would be no postage fee at the moment but should the need arise then the troupes would be asked to provide stationary and stamps. d. Agenda give out 10 days before meetings it was agreed that all agendas and directions to the meeting venue would be handed out 10 days prior to the meeting. e. Judges to get breaks all Judges at open competitions would get breaks and not have to Judge all day where ever possible. All judges to have a pre competition briefing and made aware of what was expected of them and make sure they have enough knowledge on the sections they are to judge. g. Judges over 18 ` All judges must be over 18 to be allowed to judge. Judges to give constructive criticism on what they see as needing improvement and not to make derogatory comments. Scores sheets to be handed in after each troupe finish a routine. Troupe not to hold up an arena through training. If a troupe has been let down and needs to rearrange their routine then must be agreed with host troupe to move them down the running order. Host troupe discretion. There will be 1 to 3 winning positions. there maybe 4 at the host troupe discretion. Overall winning positions for Juniors, seniors and troupe to be left to the host troupes discretion.
