Present at meeting Destiny, Ipswich Gold & Whites, Ice illusions, New Horizons, Newmarket Hot Shots, Sensations, True Colours, Techno Tronics, Witham Twirlettes and Inspirations.

This has been a great start to the Summer Association of Majorettes. We have produced, agreed and implemented a complete set of rules and procedures. Most troupes have followed all of these with only slight alterations, This was the general idea that each host troupe has some flexibility.
4. Rules Discussed
All rules were discussed and each alteration decided by a vote. a. Inspection is to be scraped b. All routines to be a maximum of 8 minutes including march In and Out. Combination/ Novelty to be a maximum of 12 minutes from the first Person In the arena to last one out (Including Set and Clear Up) c. Only One Troupe Military Routine d. Drum to use mace for March in, Out and Commands Only, No Twirling for Military/Militare. e. All Troupe including Drum to use Batons for the Military/Militare routine. f. Combination, All equipment in the arena must be used. g. All routines to be used in the overall score not including Cheer. h. All Score Sheets Were Amended to reflect Majorette Moves. 5. New Ideas a. Solo, Duo and Trio Competitions All present agreed this was a good idea.
b. Badge Seminars Mike to arrange a seminar with a grading attached c. Judges Seminars/ Grading Brian to arrange a seminar with a grading attached 6. Any other business
Things Discussed
Concerns about Competitions in the August holiday period.
Could We get a central venue for competitions.
All present gave their consent to more SAM competitions, this would give smaller troupes who could not hold a competition chance to get involved and let troupes have a competition where there was no SAM Ruled competition being run.
Times were discussed at length and all host troupes would try to stick to their timing and with the cut down times for routines should help.
Additional items for the judges notes were agreed
Steve to discuss cheer score sheets with Kirsty of Sensations and Jenny of Hot Shots.
Brian Is looking in to an alternative to lorries for the judges at competitions also Steve to talk to Barry of destiny.
All Troupes to let Steve have 10 1st Class stamped addressed A4 envelopes.
All troupes to try and support each other at competitions.
With no more other business Mike thanked everyone for attending Steve Thanks Mike and Carol of Ipswich Gold and Whites for providing the venue and refreshments.
