8 plus Drums to Full troupe (not including Tiny Tots) for inspection.
c. Junior Drum Major Score for Inspection
After a vote it was a agreed that the Junior Drum would not receive a mark for
Inspection.
d. Combination/Novelty
The problem of Combination verse Novelty would be sorted out by the score sheets.
e. Mascots
Instead of a mascot award there will be awards for Majorettes of the day in
each section i.e. Tiny Tots, Junior and Senior.
f. Mace Size
All maces use will have to be full size maces (premier type).
The mace high should be around the majorettes chin area.
g. Judges Briefing
All judges to be briefed prior to the competition by the competition host, highlighting
all the areas they would be expected to mark on and make sure they have a good
understanding of what the are marking.
h. Military
This section would be Military/Militaries, either would be acceptable or a combination of
both, the criteria being no dance steps or Baton twirls and should be military type music.
I. Drum Major Mace in Military
The Drum Major could use the mace for commands and if part of the routine twirl
it but not for any solos.
j. Dancing Up
It was aged that we should stay with the Dancing up rule, this would keep us in
line with TUK.
50% of a lower age group could dance up into another older age group.
e.g. 50% of Tiny Tots can take part in a Junior routine.
k. Number on trailer at competitions
Only the one person would be aloud on the trailer at a competition. This would be
the person sorting the Music out.
l. Pom Size
The question of pom size was discussed and it was agreed that any size poms
could be used and that any marks for moves, twirls etc would be reflected in the
sore sheets.
m. Baton Drops
Baton drops would incur a penalty point of 0.01 per drop.
n. Year End
The year end date was for SAM only and did not mean that all troupes had to
change their year end. It was to coincide with the end of the summer season
and the new year at school..
o. Tiny Tot Routine
After lengthy discussions it was decided that Tiny Tots would only have one
novelty routine.
5. Any other business
